Project Manager IT / Technisch coordinator

Assignment

• Organize the move of all local connectivity links, associated AFKL networking equipment and Telecom Provider equipment from the current datacenters to the new Equinix datacenters before December 2024 within the DCS program.
• Coordinate with AFKL teams and with Telecom Providers to ensure a seamless move of their equipment to the new Equinix datacenters, with operators physically executing the move as per the agreed-upon schedule.
• Ensure all links and equipment are not only operational in the new Equinix datacenters but also properly decommissioned in the current datacenters, meeting all necessary procedures.

Governance

• Provide full project governance that will support the relocation of all local connectivity, which includes:
• otask tracking with our telecom providers (such as KPN, Schiphol Telematics) as well as with our internal teams and telecom vendor & contract management team ; 
• find the best way to lead the community of stakeholders ; 
• Organize steering committees (boards) ;
• provide decision-making and escalation processes (the steerco is a good way to do this).
• Align with other stakeholders, programs and projects.
• Report to the several projects and programs.
• Keep track of costs, including forecast of new costs and costs after decommissioning.
• Define a planning and steer the project based on this planning.

Skills:

• Project manager needs to have technical network knowledge. Role can also be described as "technical coordinator".
• Telecom experience
• Preferably a university education in the ICT or business field
• Extensive experience in the field of project management demonstrated by track record and/or IPMA certification and Prince 2 foundation
• Broad knowledge of ICT infrastructure, ICT architecture:
• Broad knowledge of ICT development: development processes, methods, techniques and tools such as Symphony, RUP, SCRUM and Agile
• Broad knowledge of support processes, organizations, methods and tools
• Preferably a university education in the ICT or business field
• Extensive experience in the field of project management demonstrated by track record
