Introduction

ASML has multiple factories world-wide (e.g. Netherlands, Germany, USA, Taiwan) that run mainly onSAP-ME/MII as Manufacturing Execution System. For the future, still new implementations of SAP- ME/MII are planned, but we also have to prepare for the future as SAP will replace SAP-ME/MII by SAP-DMC and SAP-PEO for complex assembly.

ASML-IT transformed some years ago into Agile organization with SAFe© (Scaled Agile Framework) as the guiding framework. One of the Agile Release Trains is focusing on the enterprise solution delivery in the manufacturing domain for the ASML factories worldwide. The Manufacturing Execution System is the basis for the majority of the improvements in this area.

Job Mission

As a “Lead Developer – SAP Manufacturing” you are responsible for the technical design of the solution direction, which is aligned with the architectural vision as defined by the System Architect of the Agile Release Train. Besides that you develop yourself in the Manufacturing Execution area, you also lead the other developers in the team towards the agreed technical solution direction.

We are a sub-department within the IT organization is ‘IT Solution Delivery Operations’. This

department is responsible for providing IT solutions that support ASML Operations in achieving its business goals. We support ASML sectors Sales, Planning, Sourcing, Logistics, Manufacturing, Facility Management, Environment Health and Safety, Quality Management and Customer Support.

Job Description

As “Lead Developer – SAP Manufacturing” you are part of the team in the Agile Release Train “Operations Execution-Factory” that is mainly focusing on the implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems in all our factories, world-wide.

You will be responsible for the Technical designs and developments in the Manufacturing Execution area. You will determine the primary components and subsystems and identify the interfaces and collaborations between them.

In your role it’s important that you align closely with these roles in the ART / Team:

• The System Architect to define the (Target) Architecture, define roadmaps, etc.;
• The Business Process Analyst / Functional Consultant to define the Functional Designs;
• Guide other developers in the team on the technical solution direction.

You challenge the business requirements & processes in order to realize a fit in standard IT solutions instead of custom built solutions.

This position requires international travelling to ASML factories (US-Wilton, US-San Diego, US San Jose, Taiwan-Linkou, Taiwan-Tainan, Berlin) for short periods if needed (±2-3 times per year for ±1-3 weeks per case, highly dependent on the individual assignments);

Education

Master's degree in Information Technology or Business Administration with proven experience in complex Shop Floor Control processes.

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience as an IT Lead Developer in the SAP Manufacturing Execution;
• area on senior level;
• 10+ years’ experience with Manufacturing Execution processes in a discrete manufacturing;
• industry (complex products, low volumes): Discrete industry (Complex products, low volumes), Manufacturing process in general, Specific: Shop Floor Control / Manufacturing Execution System knowledge;
• 10+ years’ experience with SAP-ME/MII/PCo, SAP PP, SAP-PM (mainly Equipment structures);
• Technical expertise on SAP-PEO, SAP-DMC, SAP-MM, SAP-QM, SAP-eWM is a pre;
• Senior technical expert on BLS, Oracle SQL, HANA SQL, UI5, SAPMEINT;
• Expertise on CSS, JavaScript, HTML SAP-ME SDK, JAVA is a pre;
• Expertise with SAP-Basis setup is a pre;
• Experience with planning systems like SAP-PP/DS and Quintiq is a pré;
• Up-to date with topics like e.g. Lean Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Cloud.
