Senior Consultant – vRA Automation & vRO Automation

Job description:

• As a VCF Senior Consultant, you will acquire intimate knowledge of the customer’s environment and use your in-depth knowledge of VMware’s Cloud portfolio to work with customers on successfully delivering VCF Implementations. Your goal is to work directly with the customer and your leadership team to guide the customer on their journey to successfully adopt VCF for their end users.   
• This is a consulting position, where you will be intensively using technical, architectural, business, and soft skills.
• You will support the Architect in gathering and analysing customer technical requirements and guide them on best-practice configurations for cloud infrastructure.
• You will be expected to take ownership of customer technical implementation and take responsibility for customer deliverables which may include workbooks and test plans.
• You will work directly with customers to transfer your knowledge of their environment, either by partnering with key customer stakeholders, or by presenting to small groups.
• You will execute test plans to validate deployment processes aligned to customer use-cases, and guide customers on best-practice operational procedures to increase user adoption and consumption.  
• In addition to end-to-end technical governance of your project, you will also identify and raise commercial, cost, schedule, operational and scope risks, and work with the architect and PM to identify possible mitigation(s).
• You will manage customer expectations and work with the Architect and Project Managers to contribute to project planning where necessary.  
• You will partner closely with the Architect to help manage customer and internal escalations; and collaborate with VMware support and engineering teams as needed to resolve product and customer issues.
• You will interact with various customers’ teams, from technical engineers and system administrators to business leaders and executives. You will communicate effectively to all audiences—this is key to the success of your projects.
• You will maintain current and deep technical knowledge of the VMware Cloud Foundation platform including the Aria Management Suite.
• You will have solid background in general Enterprise IT storage and platform solutions.
