Design Strategy
The starting point for a successful application with design strategy
Why a design strategy in IT?
What would the world look like if we didn’t think about a design strategy? As consumers or users, we wouldn’t embrace digitisation as much as we now do. It’s like a supermarket app that never gets off the ground. Users find the app too difficult to use. Moreover, it doesn’t provide additional convenience. The supermarket takes the app offline, as customers do not use it.
Design strategy links technology and user needs. The IT solution is therefore one that customers want and will actually use. Fewer IT projects fail by immediately investing time in understanding user problems and solutions. A design sprint is the first step in developing a good solution.
After you have a validated idea, User Experience Design, or UX, is an essential next step! UX is focused on creating a good user experience. UX designers, the professionals behind user experience, research the users’ needs. Then, based on these needs, they improve things like the interface and ease of navigation.
A design sprint as startingpoint
A design sprint is a four- or five-day workshop in which you work at lightning speed from idea to tested solution. The participating team transforms an idea into a tested prototype. The sprint starts with identifying and understanding a problem. Then, you brainstorm about the possible solutions. Next, the sprint ends with making decisions and creating a prototype.
At the end, users test the prototype to retrieve feedback. With this approach, you solve real problems and ensure a solid start for new IT projects.

Design Sprint facilitator
A facilitator is involved in the sprint from start to finish, ensuring the process runs smoothly. It is someone who coaches the participants and provides energy during the sprint. In addition, the facilitator helps give the group confidence in the approach and motivates them during the process.
A good facilitator increases the chances of a successful sprint. Want to do a design sprint, and need a good facilitator? Our facilitators are happy to help you and think with you about the preparation to complete the sprint.
