Purpose of this document
The following Privacy Policy applies to the websites of LINKIT (hereinafter also referred to as “we” or “us”). We attach great importance to data protection when you visit our website or use our services. This Privacy Policy describes how LINKIT collects, shares, uses and/or otherwise processes data related to you or data that identifies you (hereinafter referred to as “personal data”), in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services.
How to read this document?
This document consists of a general chapter that relates to our processing of personal data in general and two sections that apply specifically to the described two objectives:
Objective I
Sourcing new LINKIT employees. For this purpose, we process your personal data in the event of:
- A response to a vacancy.
- An open application.
- Agreements with clients.
- Legal provisions of government agencies.
- Personal data that we receive from third parties.
- An internal screening.
Objective II
Increasing LINKIT’s market share and brand awareness. For this purpose, we process your personal data in the event of:
- Our marketing campaigns.
- Your registration for events.
- Masterclasses and boot camps.
- Profiling.
- Forms sent via the LINKIT websites.
- Customer contact via email.
General
Security of your personal data
LINKIT is ISO27001 (International Standard for Information Security) certified and applies the security measures of this standard to protect your personal data without exclusions. For example, we use encryption where possible, we use controlled logical and physical access security and personal data is only transferred within the EEA (European Economic Area).
Your rights
If you wish to receive information about your personal data being collected, or want access, rectification or erasure of your personal data, a request to this effect can be sent by e-mail via privacy@linkit.nl. Before we can carry out the request, LINKIT is obliged to establish your identity, for example by requesting (a combination of) customer data known to you, such as customer number, telephone number, postal code, house number in combination with an (e-mail) address or telephone number. In addition, you can request that the processing in question be restricted, you have the right to object to the processing and you can withdraw your consent. Finally, you have the right to data portability. We will respond to your request within the statutory period of four weeks after receiving it. In the event of a request for access, LINKIT will provide a free copy of the personal data to which the processing relates. We reserve the right to charge a maximum of the statutory fee per request for additional copies.
Personal data we share with third parties
LINKIT may share your personal data with the following parties:
- companies in the same group of companies as us, such as subsidiaries;
- clients with whom we enter into an agreement in the context of an employee or personnel mediation relationship. The transfer to and further processing of your personal data by the client is necessary to enter into the secondment agreement with you. In doing so, the client must process your personal data in accordance with the requirements arising from the GDPR;
- authorities or parties to whom we are required to disclose certain personal data pursuant to a statutory provision or to whom we are required to disclose your personal data in order to protect the rights, property or safety of LINKIT or others;
- carefully selected third parties that we may engage for the purposes of our services (“subprocessors”). Such subprocessors may process personal data about you in the process. In Data Processing Agreements, LINKIT has made agreements with the subprocessors about the use and security of your personal data, if necessary.
We do not sell personal data to third parties and, with the exception of the above reasons, we do not provide personal data to third parties.

Applicable Law
This Privacy Policy, as well as all disputes arising out of or in connection with this Privacy Policy, are governed by Dutch law. Changes LINKIT reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy without further notice in order to ensure compliance with the applicable laws and regulations. It is therefore recommended that you consult this Privacy Policy regularly so that you are aware of any changes.

Objective I – Sourcing new employees
Purpose of processing and type of personal data
Our sourcing services include the following activities:
- Searching for and assessing the specialists for placement at our clients.
- Hiring new LINKIT colleagues for projects, internal vacancies.
- Handling unsolicited applications.
- Screening newly hired LINKIT colleagues.
We process your personal data in order to be able to offer an assignment, to be able to deploy you as a specialist for our clients or to be able to conclude an employment contract with you. For this purpose, we process the following personal data:
- Salutation
- First name
- Infix
- Surname
- Date of birth
- Email address
- Mobile number
- Residence
- BSN
- Central heating
Lawfulness of processing
The reason (ground) for the processing are:
- Searching for and assessing the specialists for placement with our clients, on the basis of the ground ‘consent’.
- Hiring new LINKIT colleagues for projects, internal vacancies, on the basis of the ground  ‘Performance of a contract’.
- Handling open applications, on the basis of the ground ‘consent’.
- Screening new LINKIT colleagues to be hired, on the basis of the ground ‘compliance with legal obligations’.
- Transfer to authorities or parties to whom we are required to disclose certain personal data on the basis of a legal provision or to whom we must disclose your personal data in order to protect the rights, property or safety of LINKIT or others, on the basis of the ground ‘compliance with legal obligations’.
Personal data that we receive from third parties (and have not been requested from you)
We may also receive personal data from you from our contractors. If you are selected for an assignment, the contractor will provide us with your BSN in addition to name and address details. LINKIT must process the BSN in the context of the LINKIT’s legal tax liability.
Retention period
Should you not be employed after the application procedure, we will delete the personal data four weeks after the end of the application procedure.
With your consent, we store your data for 1 year after it has been provided to us by you, or 1 year after the last day on which you worked on the basis of a registration with us. You can request that we delete your data earlier. We will inform you four weeks before your data is anonymized from our database. We therefore offer you the option of keeping your data in our database for a period of one year so that we can continue to mediate for you. We keep some data longer if we are legally obliged to do so, see below:
- Payroll tax statements and copies of identity documents – 5 years.
- Third-party identity papers with work permit – 5 years.
- Administration after dissolution of legal entity – 7 years.
- General ledger and administration (such as accounts receivable, accounts payable) – 7 years.
- Invoices related to sales tax – 7 years.
- Agreements salary and working conditions – 7 years.
- Employee marital status – 7 years.
Anonymization
After the retention period has expired, we anonymize your personal data. After this, you are no longer identifiable as a data subject through this data. The data is therefore no longer personal data and there are therefore no privacy risks associated with it. We have a legitimate interest in anonymizing data. By means of this anonymized data, we can meet our reporting obligation to our clients and conduct statistical research to improve our services.
Screening
To test the reliability and integrity of new employees, screening is part of the application procedure. In connection with a legal obligation to our clients, the screening may also consist of a screening and/or security investigation in the context of a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) or a Certificate of No Objection (VGB). LINKIT carries out the screening on the basis of the GDPR basis, legitimate interest. The reasoning for this basis is that LINKIT professionals perform functions that involve working with sensitive data or trade secret information, there is a so-called confidential function with government agencies. For questions about the screening procedure, please contact the contact person listed for the relevant vacancy or interim assignment.
Objective II – Increasing LINKIT’s market share and brand awareness
Purpose of processing and type of personal data
In order to meet our strategic goals, it is very important that LINKIT guarantees its competitive position. Through the activities below, we draw attention to our services, create commercial opportunities and safeguard LINKIT’s market position.
Newsletter
Occasionally, we will keep you informed of new developments, for example about future knowledge sessions, training courses or online events.
For this purpose, we process the following personal data:
- First and last name
- Email address
Lawfulness of processing
We process your personal data on the basis of the ground ‘consent’.
Retention period
You can always unsubscribe via the newsletter (unsubscribe option) for further receipt. If you also wish your personal data to be deleted, you can submit a request for deletion (see section “Your rights”).
Online event
The purpose of online events is to share knowledge about current technical topics. We may send a package to your home address in connection with these sessions to enhance the online event experience. For this purpose, we process the following personal data:

We process your personal data on the basis of the ground ‘consent’ which you can withdraw at any time.
Retention period
The private data will be deleted immediately after delivery. The business data is stored for 5 years.
Event registration
We process your personal data to be able to send information about the event, such as tickets, program information and also to be able to organize the event. For this purpose, we process the following personal data:
Business details:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- URL-LinkedIn profile
Private data:
- In case of supply of clothing: clothing size
When you participate in events that LINKIT (co-)organizes, you will automatically receive our periodic newsletter.
Lawfulness of processing
We process your personal data on the basis of the ground ‘consent’, which you can withdraw at any time.
Retention period
The private data will be deleted immediately after delivery. The business data is stored for 5 years.
Profiling
We apply profiling to persons who have identified themselves by their e-mail address and their IP address. The profile we build consists of personal and role-based data and web visit and click behavior. The personal data that we may collect from you is data that you have provided to us by answering questions in a form. The reason why we use profiling is that we want to provide you with the right message and information at the right time. We believe that profiling is the best way to help you with the challenges and questions that have led you to our website. For this purpose, we process the following personal data:
- First and last name
- Email address
- IP address
Lawfulness of processing
We process your personal data on the basis of the ground ‘legitimate interest’ (increasing market share and brand awareness).
Retention period
If, despite our good intentions, you would prefer that we do not apply profiling to you, we ask you to send us an e-mail to privacy@linkit.nl with the request to stop the profiling. We store your data used for profiling in accordance with the retention period specified in the relevant purpose and/or type for the processing of your personal data.
Corporate gifts
Sometimes LINKIT sends promotional gifts to show appreciation for the cooperation it has with its customers, suppliers and partners. For this purpose, we process the following personal data:

Private data:
- Postal address.
- In case of supply of clothing: clothing size
Lawfulness of processing
We process your personal data on the basis of the ground ‘consent’.
Retention period
We keep your data for 1 year after it has been provided to us by you. You can always unsubscribe by sending an email to privacy@linkit.nl with the request to stop your receiving preference. (Reduce to 1 year).
Forms sent via the LINKIT websites
You can send forms via the LINKIT websites for various purposes to request information or to submit contact requests. For this purpose, we process the following personal data:
- First and last name
- Email address
