Explorer Karin van der Werf is one of our functional consultants. She mainly wanted a 9 to 5 job. That sounds very strange because many people are always looking for something different. But Karin loves eating at home every night, going out every morning, and knowing where you stand. The fact that it became IT is just pure coincidence.
Karin: ‘I wasn’t looking for a new job. I think if you don’t know what you’re looking for, you can’t find it. I didn’t know what I was looking for. So, when LINKIT just presented me with something I thought: oh, this is nice. When I came to LINKIT, people immediately came to me. They introduced themselves and made me feel like I had come here for months. We had coffee, there was a cookie alongside the coffee, and everything was arranged. I also thought that this was the place to start a new job now. The strength of LINKIT is all the different personalities that work there. They match very well because they want to work within this company and do their best. To make something fun together. Within LINKIT we now consist of a team of fifteen functional consultants. ‘What do I do in my spare time? Go for a walk. Seeking nature. In addition, we play games with friends or family every week. Losing is just not an option. You play a game to win and not to participate. If there are people at the table who are just playing to participate, I try to get them out of the house as quickly as possible. Because that’s not real competition.’
