Resiliency Architect

This role requires someone who can operate beyond the VM/infrastructure layer and define how Tier-1 applications should recover end-to-end.

• Application Dependency Mapping
• Ability to identify, analyse, and challenge dependencies across applications, APIs, middleware, databases, messaging platforms, shared services, and legacy integrations, particularly in environments where documentation is limited.
• Application Flow & Integration Architecture
• Strong understanding of user journeys, business transaction flows, API gateways, messaging queues (MQ), enterprise service buses (ESB), mainframe integrations, and hybrid application traffic patterns.
• Recovery Architecture & Sequencing
• Define recovery groups, dependency domains, restoration sequences, validation checkpoints, and recovery criteria for critical applications.
• Application Recovery Validation
• Ensure applications are fully functional after recovery by applying business transaction validation, API testing, synthetic monitoring checks, and data consistency verification.
• Hybrid Environment Expertise
• Comfortable working across both on-premises and Azure environments, including application dependencies related to connectivity, identity management, middleware, and shared platform services.
• Architecture Leadership
• Senior-level capability to challenge assumptions, structure discovery activities, guide recovery strategies, and support implementation teams throughout execution.

Additional Information

• This is not a standard infrastructure resiliency role. The position requires an application-level architecture perspective on resiliency and recovery modelling.
• The objective is to help ABN define a practical and workable recovery model for the NDC.
• Contract duration: At least one year, with possible extension.
• Working model: Hybrid, with approximately one day per week onsite.
• Required experience: Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in a senior role.
