Job Mission

As a Senior AI Cloud & Security Officer, you will take ownership of securing and governing AI-driven solutions within a modern cloud environment. You will ensure that AI systems, data pipelines, and platforms are designed, deployed, and operated in line with security best practices, regulatory requirements, and ethical AI standards.

You will operate at the intersection of AI, cloud security, and governance, playing a key role in protecting sensitive data and ensuring responsible AI usage. This position requires a strong combination of hands-on technical expertise and strategic advisory capabilities, enabling you to guide both engineering teams and leadership on secure and compliant AI adoption.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and oversee secure AI and data platforms across development, testing, and production environments
  • Define and enforce security standards for AI/ML systems, including model lifecycle management and deployment practices
  • Conduct risk assessments and define mitigation strategies for AI systems and sensitive data
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, ethical AI principles, and global regulatory frameworks
  • Implement and manage Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) using Microsoft Purview and Azure-native tools
  • Establish and maintain data lineage and transparency for AI models and data pipelines
  • Configure and optimize cloud security controls using Azure services such as Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Key Vault
  • Manage identity and access management for AI workloads, including role-based access controls and secure authentication
  • Develop automation scripts and workflows for security monitoring, incident response, and compliance enforcement
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and governance teams to ensure secure data usage and AI development
  • Lead incident response planning and contribute to threat modelling for AI-related risks
  • Monitor emerging AI security trends and advise leadership on improvements and risk posture
  • Act as a subject matter expert on AI security across the organizationĀ 

Education and Experience

Must Have

  • 7+ years of experience in AI/ML development and deployment
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud security and data governance roles
  • Proven experience implementing AI security frameworks and compliance standards
  • Strong expertise in AI model lifecycle management and MLOps practices
  • Experience with generative AI, large language models, and prompt engineering
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure environments and cloud security architecture
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and data governance tooling
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management, encryption, and secure data handling
  • Experience with automation and orchestration of security workflows
  • Ability to assess and mitigate risks in complex cloud and AI environments

Nice to Have

  • Certifications such as Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, or equivalent
  • Experience in large-scale or global enterprise environments
  • Experience with security monitoring tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or SIEM platforms
  • Experience with compliance frameworks in regulated industries
  • Experience with AI governance and ethical AI frameworks
  • Familiarity with DevOps or MLOps pipelines in cloud environments
  • Experience working in international or complex organizational structures
