Senior Project Manager Officer

Introduction to the job

Within IT Core IT Services department, we are looking for a Senior Project Management Officer. In this role, you will act as an independent contributor within a specific area within a business program with limited resources and medium to low-complex scope, with guidance from a manager.

Typical business scope of the assigned project:

  • Less established structure / work processes.
  • Minor trade-offs between constraints.
  • Resources involved: less than 100 FTE / less than 30 M Euro.
  • Projects are generally not on the critical path.
  • Medium suppliers, non-complex supplier collaboration.
  • Collaborating with a senior business counterpart who is familiar to the business / role, independent and needs guidance in the expertise area of the PMO.

Role and Responsibilities

As a senior PMO, you will be responsible for:

  • Progress reporting epics, projects and portfolio.
  • Financial reporting projects and portfolio (timewriting).
  • Quality improvements.
  • Support Epic Owners by taking over administration tasks.
  • Understands the PMO core role (triple constraint, PGP, PMO processes), the ASML organizational structure and is able to explain this to colleagues.
  • Aligns robust and flexible plans within PMO and with business stakeholders.
  • Sets up schedules which enable stakeholders to easily acquire the information about project progress.
  • Knows how to support his / her customer to identify, prioritize and manage risks. Independently supports his/her customer with the IRR risk sheet and the risk management process and applies this to own area of expertise.
  • Provides stakeholders, within own business context, with clear and timely updates and reports on status, planning, resources, etc.
  • Supports change initiatives by providing analysis or monitoring progress with sponsoring / guidance from a project/program manager.
  • Has a clear understanding of the interests, expectations and needs of stakeholders within direct scope. Uses stakeholder insight to steer team discussions, ensuring the balance of different interests.
  • Provides advise on the own area of expertise (triple constraint management, PGP (product development), PMO processes (excl. risk management) and High Performing Teams.
  • Helps team members in their learning journey by giving (unsolicited) feedback, based on awareness of own skills and expertise.

Preferred education and experience

  • HBO and above.
  • Experience as a PMO in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Experience with implementation of change and improvement projects.
  • Experience in an Agile environment.

Working from home: Partially, 50% in the office.
