Business Analyst IT Level 1

Purpose of the job: 

The Product Owner / Business Analyst (PO/BA) plays a dual role in maintaining the product, managing stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions that align with our business strategy and a migration roadmap. This role requires a flexible mindset, deep understanding of Agile methodologies, strong stakeholder management capabilities and knowledge of CRM (Salesforce Marketing Cloud in specific). The PO/BA collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into clear product requirements, prioritize backlogs, and lead initiatives from concept through to implementation, ensuring both product performance and alignment with the migration. 

The PO/BA will be part of the CRMpush R1 (Disruption Communication team), which is part of the sub-department Digital Product Management, which is part of the Commercial division of Air France KLM. In Digital Product Management, each team takes care of a part of the Digital/IT products that are in scope of the Business Domain.  

Key responsibilities: 

Product development:

  • Communicate product vision with the team, assessing the feasibility of initiatives given the current resources and setup, and the migration from current tooling to Salesforce Marketing Cloud taking place throughout 2025.

Requirement analysis and refinement:

  • Convert complex business needs into clear and actionable IT solution requirements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to clarify and refine product requirements, ensuring they are well-documented and communicated.

Planning, prioritization, and execution:

  • Prioritize and organize the product backlog to maximize product value, user experience, and address key areas such as performance, stability, data, legal compliance, and support needs. Evaluate the potential value, effort, impact and business criticality of new initiatives with the migration roadmap and timeline
  • Apply Agile methodology and SAFe frameworks to ensure alignment with team velocity, balancing business needs with team capacity.
  • Identify and manage dependencies across teams to facilitate smooth product execution.

Stakeholder and team management

  • Act as a product ambassador, effectively communicating product updates to stakeholders and aligning between the migration and the current product.
  • Provide consultancy to stakeholders, challenging requests to ensure alignment with the migration roadmap.
  • Motivate and support team members, fostering an environment of collaboration. Keep team members engaged throughout a challenging migration.

Quality assurance and product performance monitoring:

  • Track product performance KPIs, monitoring key indicators and sharing insights with stakeholders.
  • Oversee and address product incidents, ensuring ongoing performance.
  • Maintain an overview of dependencies within scope.  

Qualifications and skills: 

  • Proven track record as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role, with experience in Agile methodology, backlog prioritization, and requirements gathering
  • Proficiency in understanding product architecture, specifically in the context of CRM
  • Familiar with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Strong ability to manage and influence stakeholders, from team members to senior management
  • Experienced in data-driven decision-makingExcellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams
