Introduction to the job
In the IT R&D FC DevEnv we provide the development environment for large groups of software developers. These developers work on the software that controls our high-tech machines. Next to continuous enhancement of the existing environment we are implementing a new set of state-of-the-art off-the-shelf tools (e.g. source control management, software build and pipeline management, artifact storage, etc.).
We are expanding our teams to be able to deliver both the required enhancements and the new environment. Therefore we are also looking for an experienced senior scrum master that can play a key role in bringing Scrum to the next level and further integrate the teams in the Agile Release Train.
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a senior scrum master you will have the following responsibilities:
- Ensures delivery of solutions to achieve PI objectives committed by the team
- Ensures that risks, operational dependencies and impediments are solved by the team or properly escalated
- Provides insights and transparency on team maturity, predictability, progress , performance and secures quality of the value delivered
- Ensures that the team relentlessly improves on ASML processes and way of working (based on agile mindset and principles)
- Ensures the Team rituals are effective and contributes to Train
- Enables a High Performing Team
- Contributes where possible to the Community of Practice (CoP)
- Works together with Product Owner, Chief Product Owner (SAFe Product Manager) and Release Train Engineer, in handling changes in backlog and scope
- Teams will be expanded and new teams will be formed. You will play an important role in helping these teams in this dynamic situation to become successful.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor or Master degree with substantial experience in engineering or IT and comprehensive experience as Scrum Master. Experienced in working at tactical level.
- Has an extensive knowledge and experience with iterative development fundamentals and teaches this to others.
- Substantial experience in team-building and facilitation, removing roadblocks.
- Shows initiative, strong analytical skills and problem-solving attitude.
- Highly motivated team player, good social skills, with a strong service/customer orientation.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Accurate, systematic approach.
- Pragmatic, practical, flexible and committed to quality.
- Ambitious and with a pro-active, initiating attitude.
- Ability to plan and set priorities.
- Ability to think practically about the impact of decisions for end-customer / user.

This position is located in the Eindhoven region and works on a hybrid schedule: at least 3 days onsite.
