Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, data integrity, and functionality during the migration process.
- Provide support for applications undergoing migration from IMS-DB to IMS-DB2.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, data integrity, and functionality during the migration process.
- Collaborate with developers and database administrators when there is any issue while promoting components to higher environment.
- Monitoring the changes in terms of performance and efficiency of the application
- Creating implementation plan and co-ordination with other teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in application support and troubleshooting in a mainframe environment, with specific expertise in IMS-DB and IMS-DB2 databases.
- Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe technologies commonly used in IMS-DB and IMS-DB2 environments.
- Understanding of Database migration.
- Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience with tools and utilities used for application migration and integration in mainframe environments.
