- Analyze existing IMS-DB applications and databases to understand data structures, dependencies, and business logic.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define migration objectives and success criteria.

- Work closely with database administrators and developers to implement migration scripts, data conversion processes, and application modifications as needed.
- Perform thorough testing of migrated applications and databases to ensure data integrity, functionality, and performance meet requirements.
- Document migration processes, configurations, and procedures for future reference and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues, mitigate risks, and ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to database migration and application modernization.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7-8 years of experience in Mainframe Environment
- In-depth knowledge of IMS-DB and IMS-DB2 databases, SQL, COBOL and JCL
- Experience with database migration tools and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of application modernization techniques, such as re-platforming and re-hosting.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
