We are looking for a Senior ML Engineer who will help us solve valuable business challenges for our Operations department, by building innovative data science and ML solutions.
You will be working alongside Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers of the Operation Decision Support (ODS) department. The core focus of ODS is to optimize processes concerning fleet, crew, ground services and the destination network. Our models aim to answer highly relevant questions such as:
- How many meals are needed on board?
- How much ground staff is needed and at what time?
- How many no-shows can we expect on this flight?
- Which next destination should we fly to and how often?
This position is for Senior level with at least 5 years of industry experience.

The skills and experience you bring to the team:
- Completed Master’s degree (or higher) in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Econometrics or similar;
- 3+ years of relevant experience working in a ML team including leading the deployment of models into production;
- Solid experience developing MLOps pipelines (deployment, monitoring, retraining…);
- Strong software engineering foundations and experience writing production-level Python code (CICD, testing);
- Deep understanding of tools and concepts such as REST API’s, Docker, Kubernetes, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana etc.;
- Experience working with at least one Cloud provider;
- Proactiveness in leading projects, coaching team members, raising issues;
- Experience with (big) data related tools like (py)Spark, HDFS, Hbase, SQL, Kafka etc. is a plus;
- Experience with scrum / agile working is a plus
