I was looking for something adventurous and more exploratory
Ruben is originally from Portugal and now is the CEO of LINKITSYSTEMS. He started his career with OutSystems in Portugal and after a few months of training he moved to South Africa for almost a year. Where he worked as a consultant. Ruben was very curious about working with OutSystems. “OutSystems came in to the picture because, it changes the paradigma between actually sitting behind a laptop and working as a coder, from only being a developer to become a business developer that also knows how to develop software.”
“LINKIT was looking into expanding internationally. I was looking for something adventurous and more exploratory. I think the beauty of LINKIT is that the explorer is not only someone that has to do exploratory roles or adventurous things. An explorer is also someone that might be more quiet, but still very passionate about helping the peers and the colleagues to take the next steps. So, currently at LINKIT I’m responsible together with my team for the German expansion. Looking for new strategies and new ways of working. Not only internally but also externally with our partners.”

Apart from being the CEO of LINKITSYSTEMS, Ruben also has a passion for travelling the world: “I love travelling, there is nothing else that makes me more happy than going to a new place where I have no friends, no connections, getting the most easy transport that I can arrange over there and just explore.”
