Born in Portugal, but now Filipe is a real citizen of the world
Filipe Gomes is working as a Principal Solutions Architect at LINKIT. He originally comes from Portugal, but he considers himself as a citizen of the world. He first went to work abroad in Ireland. Here he was given the opportunity to work on big data. After that he continued his search for working in a different country.
He looked at several places around Europe to find a new opportunity and the Netherlands seemed to be the best step for him. Filipe: “What I am looking for in the Netherlands and especially at LINKIT is the opportunity to be myself. I want to be the best professional I can be, based on my accumulated experience and personality. Right now, I’m doing mostly the role of a solution architect, but I also do a lot of business-related work. Especially in the innovation area and improving processes.”

“I have multiple hobbies, I like motorcycles, vintage computers and playing games. I used to be good at it at one point. For me, this is the way to unwind at the end of the workday. I’m a bit of a thinker, always have been, since I was a little kid. I like to fix all things that are broken.”
